Life Legacy
Brother Orland Cruse Senior, 84, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015 after an unexpected illness. Brother Cruse was born September 17, 1930, in Frederick, Oklahoma. He was 1 of 7 siblings to Alvin Ruben Cruse and Mary Faison. He married Annie L Cruse in 1958 and had 4 children. Orland served in the U.S. Army; worked as a Psychiatric Technician at NMC for over 47 years; and was a member of St. James CME church where he worked diligently for the Lord.
He is survived by 1 brother: Manuel Cruse; his children: Randy Cruse, Sequetta Phillips, Tessa Jelks, and Orland "Jay" Cruse Jr.; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and many family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 siblings, and other family members. He loved to go fishing, play dominoes, and was the biggest jokester anyone would ever love to meet.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 5, 2015, from 1-9pm., at Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Rd, Salinas, CA 93905.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at 11 a.m., at St. James CME, 285 Calle Cebu, Salinas, CA 93901. Military Honors to follow at graveside.
Final resting place at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 18200 Damian Way, Salinas, CA 93907.
