Ruben was a Naval Officer in the Philippine Navy over 25 years. He is survived by wife Jessie Escolta of Salinas daughter Jerulyn (Abnel) Enriquez of Salinas sons Benjie (Maria Lourdes) Escolta Ruben (Joyce De Ocampo) Escolta, Jr. both of Salinas sisters Erna Gumabao Delhia Oxeniola Helen Mercurio Severina Clavero Teobia Castaneda all of the Philippines brothers Eduardo, Noel, and Berlie Escolta all of the Philippines grandchildren Erin Mae and Rafael Escolta Ace Jansen and Joaquin Angelo Enriquez along with other loving relatives
