Obituary of Charles Fleming

Life Legacy Charles "Chuck" Buddy Fleming, Sr., 84, longtime resident of Salinas, passed away on January 8, 2017 in Salinas. He was born on April 27, 1932 in Michigan. Chuck had proudly served in the United States Army; the Green Berets. He then went to work in the building trades as a self-employed tile contractor in the community for over 40 years. He was also a longtime member of the First Freewill Baptist Church of Salinas. Chuck is survived by, his wife of 44 years, Opal Fleming daughters, Cindy and LeighAnn Fleming sons, Charles Fleming, Jr., J.J. Jones and William Taylor, Jr. sisters, Penny Aschwanden and Linda Limon ten grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren also survive along with numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. He is preceded in death by, his brother, Shelby and his sister, Eva May. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 16, 2017 1-9pm at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd Salinas, CA 93905. Funeral Services will take place on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 1pm at the Healey Mortuary Chapel. Burial with Military Honors will follow at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery 18200 Damian Way Salinas, CA 93907.
