Obituary of Violet Hosford
Violet enjoyed attending car shows and rallies with her husband, where they displayed their 1926 Model T Ford. They also participated in the "Old Time Fiddler's " competition. They also enjoyed music in their home, and Violet played piano and guitar. Violet was a highly accomplished seamstress, avid gardener, and a life-long baseball fan, as well as a great baker, making homemade pies and jams that were the finest in Salinas. Violet passed on a love of board games and playing cards to her children and grandchildren. For many years, Violet was employed in the office of Dr. George Barden. She also enjoyed her many years of service working at the Local Election Precincts. She had a quick wit and a great sense of humor.
