Obituary of Rodney Nelsen

Rodney Nelsen, 84, of Salinas passed away Sunday, July 20, 2008 at Salina Valley Memorial Hospital. He was born February 29, 1924 in San Jose, California. Son of Maria and Al Nelsen, long-time ranchers in Cupertino. He graduated from Bellarmine High School in San Jose. He was a dental technician with Salinas Dental Lab and the last several years at Rod's Cast Partials for a total of 50 years. He was in the U.S. Army for 3 years during WWII in the Veterinary Company as a surgical technician vet in China and the India Burma Campaign. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Murial and son Michael and daughter-in-law Laura, along with several grandchildren. MEMORIAL SERVICES A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions may be made to: Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital Cancer Center, or one's favorite charity.
