Obituary of Edward Hernandez

Edward John Hernandez, 77, of Salinas, passed away November 2, 2010 in Salinas. Born June 19, 1933 in Bakersfield, CA. Edward served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the American Legion Post #31 in Salinas. He was also an avid golfer and member of Salinas Fairways. The Family wishes to thank Dr. Varma, nurses and staff at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital for their kindness and understanding during this difficult time. He is survived by his Wife Carmen Hernandez of Salinas Daughters Cynthia Anna Hernandez and Estella Cercedo both of Salinas, Son Edward John Hernandez, Jr. of Salinas 5 Grandchildren 10 Great-Grandchildren Sisters Adeline Perales of Bakersfield Dolores Perez of Porterville Brothers Raymond Garcia of Washington State Albert and Manuel Garcia both of Bakersfield Visitation will be held Monday, November 8 1-9pm with Rosary recital 7pm at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd. in Salinas. Funeral Mass Tuesday, November 9 10am at Madonna del Sasso Catholic Church 320 E. Laurel Drive in Salinas. Burial with Military Honors will take place at Queen of Heaven Cemetery 18200 Damian Way in Salinas.
