My sincere condolences to the family of Mr. Manzano. I met Mr. Manzano at "the hill", The Vietnam Veterans Memorial, where he was always present for veterans memorial ceremonies. He and my late husband Hank Hughes became good friends. My husband would play the music up at the hill, and Sancho loved it. Green Berets was his favorite. When my husband passed away in 2010, Sancho contacted me, he was very sad over the loss of my husband and had comforting words for me. He asked if he could bring the Purple Heart Honor Guard to my husband services, even though my husband was not a receiptent . I said of course and I am forever grateful for the honor that he paid to the memory of my husband. At the hill on Veterans Day 2010 he again honored my husband by singing a song. I will never forget that honor. I still cry when I think of that. Mr.Manzano was a great man, a great friend and a great veteran . Thank you Sir for your service to our country. I'm sure he and my husband are having a great time in heaven telling stories and singing. God Bless him and may he Rest In Peace .
