Obituary of Richard "Rick" Earl Hidlay

Richard "Rick" E. Hidlay, 77, passed away on August 17, 2018 in Salinas, CA. He was born on July 12, 1941 in PA. He resided there until he joined the military After which he followed his sister to California, where he remained for over 50 years. Rick was a devoted and loving father and grandfather. Rick owned his own business, the "Auto Villa" for over 40 years. He  loved to fish and especially loved his dogs. Most of all he cherished and loved his kids and grandkids.

Rick is survived by,

daughter, Erin and son, Ryan

sisters, Agnes and Mary-Lou

and his four grandchildren, Devin, Sarah, RJ and JD.

He is preceded in death by,

his wife, Carolyn Hidlay (Rodgers), mother, Ruth Edwards and his father, Earl Hidlay.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 24, 2018 9am-1pm at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd Salinas, CA  93905.

Funeral Services will take place on Friday, August 24, 2018 1pm at the Healey Mortuary Chapel.

Burial with Military Honors to follow at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery 18200 Damian Way Salinas, CA  93907.
