Obituary of Jack H. Clark

Jack H. Clark, 85, of Salinas, passed away Friday, Aug. 31, 2018. He was born April 8, 1933, in Bartlesville, OK.

Jack was an avid fisherman and belonged to Salinas Valley Fly Fishers. He enjoyed vacationing at Lake Almanor every summer. Jack was a member and deacon of Echoes from Calvary faithfully attending there for 69 years. He was very involved in the church, and had been Sunday School Superintendent, Youth Leader and Junior Leader. He played the trumpet at church and was part of the choir. Jack played a large part in the building of Echoes from Calvary. Right up until his passing, he had run Little Friends Preschool since 1987. He also volunteered weekly at the Senior Food Center.

Jack married his high school sweetheart, Juanita Brewer, and they would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Sept. 4th. They enjoyed traveling the United States in their motorhome, making so many wonderful memories.

He worked for PG&E retiring as Substation Supervisor.

Jack served in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Jack is survived by his wife, Juanita; was blessed with their two sons, Rodney (Charlene) of Salinas and Royce of Oroville; and two grandsons, Jordan (Kendra) of Salinas and Ryan of Olympia, WA. Jack loved his family very much. He will be tremendously missed by all of his family and so many dear friends.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018, at Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Rd., Salinas, CA 93905.

Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, 2018, at Echoes from Calvary, 1025 Post Dr., Salinas, CA 93907. Following the service, interment will be at Garden of Memories, 850 Abbott St., Salinas, CA 93901.
