Laura Warren

Obituary of Laura Anne Warren

Laura Anne (Hardman) Warren left the physical world on Friday, December 21st at 8:21 a.m. surrounded by family and close friends at her home in Marina.

Laura was born at Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula on March 18, 1963 to Earl and Lily Hardman, both now deceased.  Laura spent her entire life living on the Monterey Peninsula; she attended local schools and graduated from Monterey High in 1981.  While working at the Naval Post Graduate School’s Exchange, she met and married the love of her life, Archie Warren.  Thereafter, Laura worked at several local businesses including the House of Fabrics; the Slautterback Corporation; Johnson, Gaver & Leach and, most recently, Hartnell College where she was an executive assistant to one of Hartnell’s vice-presidents.  She was a Notary Public and was always taking college courses to further her education.

Laura was known for her quick wit and her ability to light up any room she entered.  She loved to shop, buy and sell expensive purses, adopt small rescue dogs and drive fancy cars although, much to her chagrin, she was never able to fully master the art of driving a manual transmission.  Laura also loved to travel and her favorite destinations were London, Hawaii, Paris and any Disney location.

Besides her loving and endlessly devoted husband Archie, Laura leaves in this world her big sister, Susan Moore (Arlon) of Monterey; her adored niece Pamela Meachum (Danny) of Marina; her cherished nephew Andrew Robbins (Sharleen) of Millbrae; her intelligent and banjo-playing grand-nephew, Daniel Meachum of Marina; and her precious grand-niece, Lillie Robbins of Millbrae; as well as numerous treasured friends and relatives.

Laura’s family would like to sincerely thank the entire staff at Community Hospital and a special thank you to Dr. Arina Ganeles who made Laura’s transition to her next life as peaceful and pain-free as possible.

Laura: "You will never, ever be forgotten and remember, it is always Thursday night in Heaven.  Rest in Peace."
