Obituary of Bettye Jane Buckmaster

Bettye Jane Buckmaster, 77, longtime resident of Salinas, passed away on January 23, 2019 in Los Banos. She was born on July 9, 1941 in Telephone, TX to James and Pauline Coursey. Bettye previously worked as a day care provider for children for over 40 years. As a daycare provider, she cared for hundreds of children, some of which spanned  over 2 generations.

Bettye is survived by,

her daughter, Jana (Bob) Everhart

son, Doyle (Kimberly) Buckmaster

brothers, Calvin, James and Robert Coursey

sister, Mary Louise Coursey

9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren also survive.

She is preceded in death by her son, Monty Buckmaster and her brother, Albert Coursey

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019 6-9pm at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd Salinas, CA  93905.

Interment of ashes will follow at a later date at the Fresno Memorial Garden in Fresno, CA.
