Rosalina Tajan

Obituary of Rosalina L. Tajan

Rosalina Linda Caguimbal Tajan, 62, of Salinas, passed away March 8, 2019 at Natividad Medical Center due to cardiac arrest followed by severe brain hypoxia.

Rosalina was born in Fort Knox, Kentucky and lived in Salinas for 55 years. She was a retired hotel housekeeper. In her prior job, she was a forklift driver and stocked packaged fruits & vegetables around an agricultural plant or loaded them onto trucks for distributing. She was very sociable and easy to talk to. She could either be found socializing with neighbors around her apartment building, talking hours on the phone or texting friends & family just to say hello. She was very creative with applications on her smart phone and made it her priority to text or post virtual birthday cards for everyone on social media. She was generous to those in need and offered what she could to those less fortunate. She loved watching movies, being with her dogs and having surprise visits from her sons. She was her family's biggest fan who praised them for their achievements and unity.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mariano Tajan Sr.

Survivors: Sons, Ray Tajan and Larry Tajan of Sacramento and Joey Tajan of Roseville; grandchildren, Malachi Tajan, Maleek Tajan and Larry Tajan Jr. all of Sacramento; sisters, Marcelina Taganas and Gail Rapacon of Salinas; brothers, Mario Caguimbal Sr., Tony Caguimbal and Carlos Caguimbal, all of Salinas, Vince Caguimbal of Las Vegas, NV, and George Caguimbal of Round Rock, TX.
