Obituary of Vertie Jewel Pybas

Vertie “Jewell” Pybas 85 of Salinas, California passed away Friday August 2, 2019 after a lengthy illness. Jewell was born December 10, 1933 in Tahlequah Oklahoma. She moved to Salinas at 10 years of age.  She met the love of her life Bill Pybas while attending Salinas High School.  They were married for 56 years until Bill’s death in 2006. Jewell was a devoted Wife, Homemaker, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Jewell was active in her community and was a devoted member of the Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents Dero and Letha Dyer, her brother Lloyd Dyer and her sister Dorothy Dornan.

She is survived by her three children; Randall (Delia), Robert (Tami) Christy Pybas; grandchildren Carissa Johnson (David), Erik Pybas, Evan Pybas (Brittney) and Courtney Pybas and; great Grandchildren Jacob, Isabella and Kaiden Rodriquez, Bronson and Sadie Pybas, and Zane Johnson.

Family Services with be held at the Garden of Memories in Salinas California.
