Obituary of Julia Gertrude Lownsbery

Julia Gertrude Lownsbery (Trudie), 88, passed on to heaven November 10, 2019 at her home surrounded by loving family. Born April 12, 1931 in Red Jacket, WV, she lived in the Salinas area for the past 64 years.  Mrs. Lownsbery was proud to serve as a WAC in the U.S. Army.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters, and husband Robert Braden Lownsbery (Bob).

 

She is survived by her children Steven, Bruce, Douglas, and Sara; grandchildren Katherine, Joshua, Grace, Jonathan, Micah, Elliott, and Daniela; and great grandchildren David and James. 

 

Public viewing will be Friday, November 29th, 11 am to 1 pm, at Healey Mortuary, 405 N Sanborn Rd, Salinas.

 

Public burial with Military Honors will be 2 pm at Garden of Memories, 850 Abbott St.

 

A public Celebration of Life will be Saturday, December 21st, 11 am to 1 pm, at Vineyard Church of Salinas, 1122 E Alisal St.
