Obituary of Mario Alberto Torres

Mario Alberto Torres passed away from cancer surrounded by family and friends on September 4, 2020.  He was born on August 26, 1966 in Harlingen, Texas to Sixto and Elida Torres.  He graduated from Alisal High School class of 1985.  After high school he worked as a security guard for many years.  Later in life he became a Home Health provider to both his father and mother. Mario was also an active member of the Service Employees International Union(SEIU). Mario was an avid coin and stamp collector, he loved going to the casinos, listening to music, and spending time with his family.  He will be dearly missed.

Mario is preceded in death by his parents, Sixto and Elida Torres; brother, Romeo Torres.  He is survived by his siblings, Sixto Torres Jr (Imelda), Enrique Torres (Josefina), Celina Padilla (Miguel), Moises Torres (Isabel), Elida Valenzuela (Ramon), Jaime Torres (Cecilia); and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Monday, Sept. 21, 2020 from 1pm-8pm with a Rosary service at 7pm at Healy Mortuary.  A funeral Mass will be Tuesday, Sept. 22nd at 10:00am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Salinas.
