Obituary of Richard Gauna

Richard Gauna passed away September 16, 2020 from a sudden illness. He was born in Salinas and a lifetime resident. He attended Salinas High School, and worked many years at Firestone and for Merrill Farms. He is preceded in death by his mother Tillie Ceballos and his sister Patsy Gauna. He is survived by his dad Ramon Ceballos, his lifetime partner Snow Gauna Calderon, his sons Manuel Gauna and Richard (Luther) Gauna jr., and Michael Hernandez. His brothers Rudy Ceballos, Raymond (Belinda) Ceballos, his sisters Lidia (Ben) Espiritu, Elaine (Manuel) Moreno. Numerous grandkids and great grandkids, numerous nieces and nephews. He enjoyed sports very much, was a lifetime Raider fan. He also coached Jesse Raiders and Tony Diaz Bail Bonds Baseball Team in Salinas. He loved to dance and socialize with his friends and family.

Family Services were held at Garden of Memories Cemetery Thursday, September 24, 2020.
