Cosme “Rody” Rodriguez

 

Born September 27th 1966, died peacefully at home after a 2 year battle with brain cancer. He was often referred to as Rody or Churris, two terms of endearment by friends and family. Cosme was a devoted husband, father, brother, friend, and godfather.

 

Born in Mexico, he was a filial son and grandson. He married the love of his life, Norma. Together they raised 3 wonderful children in San Jose, before relocating to Salinas. Here they began to build their life together as a family. He was a hardworking individual who learned and excelled in plumbing. Due to his humble and friendly nature, he gained several friendships and partnerships over the course of the years. Cosme and his wife faithfully served in their parish, St. Mary of the Nativity Catholic Church, for many years together.

 

Cosme was an avid soccer fan, Club America of the Mexican League being his favorite team. He would always enjoy participating in outdoor activities with friends and family. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to any family or friend in need. Cosme had a great sense of humor, with a smile that could light up any room. He touched many lives with his easy-going and loving nature, creating many unforgettable memories.

 

Cosme is survived by his wife Norma, and 3 children Daniel, Fatima, and Priscilla.

 

A viewing will take place on Sunday, Oct. 4th outside at Healey Mortuary from 1pm-8pm with a Rosary at 6pm.  His Funeral Mass will be Monday, Oct. 5th at St. Mary's Catholic Church beginning at 10am followed by burial at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
