Obituary of Jessica Marie Rivera

Jessica divinely completed her physical journey way too soon after the fight of her life at 5:10 pm on Wednesday, December 9, 2020. She loved her family very much and spent every waking moment that she was able with them. Her daughters, Maria Machado-Sanchez, Beatrice Machado, Alberta Machado, and Monica Machado-Rizkallah, blessed her with 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. They were her everything, and she shared that love along with so much more with her husband and love of her life of over 11 years, Manuel Rivera, in Salinas, CA. She loved and enjoyed the company of any of her six siblings, always making it a point to be with her Big Bratt. Visits and chats from her fathers, the late Fred Trdla Sr. and Alvan Bohannon, forever left her talking about them afterward. Jessica loved to cook and, the holidays were her favorite, and she always went above and beyond. Jessica exhibited true strength and grit throughout her entire life by selflessly putting others' needs above her own. For over 12 years, she dedicated herself to her work by being a Home Health Nurse. San Francisco 49ers were her favorite team. She loved the ocean and will join her mother, Alberta, along with aunts, uncles, and cousins in Monterey Bay's Lovers Point. Per Jessica's request, there will be no viewing as she was cremated after her transition began with Healy Mortuary. Due to COVID-19, Celebrations of Life will be held at a later time.
