Madonna Gereszek Insular

Obituary of Madonna Ann Gereszek Insular

Madonna Ann Gereszek Insular was born Oct. 6, 1930 to Nellie Martin and Wallace Gereszek of Hankinson, North Dakota. She was accepted into heaven Dec. 18, 2020. In Madonna's early 20's, she moved with her sister to Stockton, California, where she met her husband Generoso Insular. After giving birth to her two sons, Gene and Mike, the family moved to an artichoke farm on the outskirts of Castroville, California.

Madonna was a very dedicated, hardworking mother and grandmother, that was full of kindness and caring. " If someone is ever mean to you, kill them with kindness" is what my grandmother would say to me. Overcoming uncontrollable situations takes a strong person, and a strong person with no mean bone in her, was who my grandmother was.

If you were in need of the last 10 dollar bill she had in her wallet, she would give you those 10 dollars happily, and never ask for it in return. Madonna's smile was always full of light. She had a great love for her family and animals, treating her animals with gourmet meals and long walks she loved to do for them. Patsy Cline was her favorite country singer.

She will be truly missed by all that knew her. She was the best grandmother I could have ever asked for.

This obituary was written by Madonna's grandson, James Insular.

Madonna was preceded in death by her husband Generoso and sons Gene and Mike. She is survived by her grandson James.
