Felicia Ann Cerna Holguin

Felicia was born on February 7, 1962 in Salinas, California and entered the presence of the Lord on February 15, 2021. She is preceded in death by her father John Cerna and survived by her mother Teresa Cerna of Spreckels, California. Felicia leaves behind the love of her life and constant companion, her husband of 27 years, Gregorio A. Holguin of Salinas. Felicia also leaves behind three sisters, Margie Guiterrez (Richard) of Brentwood, Ca, Christina Cerna of Salinas, Angela Alberti (Sal) of Grass Valley, Ca and two brothers Martin (Shannon) Cerna of Hayward, Ca, and David Cerna of Huntington Beach, Ca. and numerous, nieces, nephews, and great nieces, and nephews.

Felicia enjoyed a childhood that began in Spreckels, Ca. Where she was born and raised enjoying the events and activities that encompass the community of Spreckels. Felicia attended Spreckels Elementary School from Kindergarten through the Eight grade. Felicia graduated from Salinas High School in 1980 and attended Hartnell College. After graduation, Felicia worked for Stans Department Store, McDonalds, Woolworths for 12 years. She also worked for Great Western Bank on South Main Street in Salinas. Her last place of employment was for Val’s Plumbing in Salinas, where she enjoyed working for 13 years. It was here that in 1993 she met her husband to be through a mutual friend.

Felicia and Greg Holguin were married on June 12, 1994. They loved spending as much quality time together as possible and were know by many as the two love birds. They worked side-by-side at Northside Assembly of God with the children’s ministry, women’s ministry, and Royal Rangers. Felicia would often be seen working as a volunteer alongside Greg at Home Depot on the Kids Workshops and at the California Rodeo Salinas to volunteer in the Kids Corral. Other volunteer projects included the Castroville Artichoke Festival, and many other events throughout the community.

For adventure Felicia enjoy camping with her family at places that surrounded her with beauty, like Yosemite, Angels Camp, and the Lake Tahoe Area. Felicia loved anyplace that provided time to spend precious moments with family to enjoy laughter, stories, good times, food, and fun. She loved life and had a heart of gold and will be greatly missed by all those who knew her and were honored to call her family or friend. Above all she loved the Lord and she loved praising and worshiping at her husband’s side. Until we meet again…We will miss you Felicia.

Visitation will be held at the Healey Mortuary, Thursday, February 25, 2021 from 1 - 5PM.

Funeral Services will be held at Northside Assembly of God Church, 55 Natividad Road, Sainas at 10:00 AM.

Burial will follow at the Gonzales District Cemetery in Gonzales, CA.
