Obituary of Elizabeth N. Ahl

Elizabeth N. Ahl, “Liz” went peacefully home to be with the Lord on March 2, 2021 after a heroic battle with cancer and lung disease. Liz was born on August 28, 1934 in Potlach, Id. She lived in Washington State until her move to Salinas, Ca in June of 1967. She was surrounded by her loving family in the days leading up to her passing.
Liz was a lifelong Christian and attended Echoes from Calvary Church. She taught at El Gabilan School in Salinas specializing in reading. Upon retirement she was a children’s reading tutor in her home. Liz was very active in the community attending many civic and community organizations including the Santa Rita Indians and her monthly Bunco games. Liz taught Sunday School, was youth leader, sang in church/community choir, involved as wedding coordinator, caterer, and church floral arrangements.
She is preceded in death by Larry Bryant, Chuck Ahl, and the love of her life Duane Foster. Her favorite scripture verse was Romans 8: 38-39: For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers. Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus Our Lord. Liz applied this scripture to her whole life.
She is survived by her son Rich Bryant (Linda) and daughter Terrie Bryant, seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Elizabeth was interned at Garden of Memories on March 9, 2021 in a private family graveside service. Liz asked in lieu of any flowers, please honor the Lord in giving to Echoes from Calvary Church in her memory.
