Obituary of Selso Hernandez Ruiz Jr.

Selso Hernandez Ruiz Jr., 42, went with our Lord and Savior on April 21, 2021 at 1:44pm. He was born in San Jose, California on October 10, 1978, and grew up and lived in Salinas.
He graduated from CSUMB in 2004 with a major in Computer Science.  He worked many jobs in the area including Macy’s, Verizon, Heald, and Hartnell College.
Selso is survived by his loving daughters, Raelyn and Ella Ruiz, his parents, Selso and Barbara Ruiz, seven sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and great nephews.
Selso’s favorite time of the year was the holidays as family was important to him. He loved planning and taking trips to Disneyland with his daughters, sisters and parents. He loved anything and everything New York and always talked about his trip to Manhattan with his sisters. Selso had a bright smile and loved to make people laugh as well as lift up everyone with encouraging words.
His family would like to thank everyone who participated in Selso’s life and the many memories made. Our family will never be the same without him.
Memorial Viewing will be Friday May 7, 2021, 1pm-5pm at Healey Mortuary at 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas CA. 93905.
Funeral Service will be Saturday May 8, 2021, 10am-12pm at Primera Iglesia de Prunedale 8150 N. Prunedale Rd. Prunedale, CA. 93907.  Following the service is the graveside burial at Queen of Heaven Cemetery at 18200 Damian Way, Prunedale, CA. 93907.
