Obituary of Leonila A. Ligsay

Leonila A. Ligsay, 84, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2021 in Salinas, CA  Leonila was born November 22, 1936 in Ballang, Buguey, Cagayan Philippines and married and immigrated to the US in 1962.  She attended Reliant Vocational School in Aparri, Cagayan, PI and completed a dressmaking course.  Leonila worked in a mens clothing factory in Monterey, CA until her retirement.

Leonila is preceded in death by her husband, George Burgos, her parents, Filomeno Ligsay and Ursula Alejo, and her siblings, Romana, Soledad, Asuncion, Raymondo, Romualdo, and Florencio.

She is survived by a sister, Juliana, along with numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren who dearly loved her.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 29, 2021 at the Healey Mortuary Chapel, 405 N. Sanborn Rd., Salinas, CA from 12 Noon - 5:00 PM.

Rosary and Chapel Blessing Services will begin at the Mortuary Saturday at 2:00 PM.

Following her cremation, Leonila will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Citrus Heights, CA
