Obituary of Anna Marie Bauer

Anna Marie Bauer passed away on May 17, 2021 at her home in Salinas, CA surrounded by her loved ones after a long battle with Cancer.

Born and raised in Salinas, CA, Anna graduated from North Salinas High School in 1988 and went on to attend Hartnell College where she completed course work in Early Childhood Education. She lived in Woodbridge, VA for 2 years before returning to her hometown where she spent the rest of her life.

Besides being a Preschool Teacher for 22 years, she loved going to cheerleading competitions where she would cheer on the Alisal Eagles and all the other teams in the MBYFL.

Anna Marie Bauer is survived by her husband of 26 years, Robert Bauer; son, Richard Bauer; daughter, Courtney Bauer; parents, Jim and Dixie Sutherland; sister, Gina Sutherland; and her grandson, Matteo.

She is preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents: Richard and Eve Polastro, and Fred Sutherland and Elsie Sutherland-Zook.

Her Celebration of Life will take place on Wednesday, June 16^th at Healey Mortuary at 1:30 p.m. Burial to take place at Gonzales Cemetery District Thursday, June 17^th at 11 a.m.
