Obituary of Cynthia Anna Hernandez

Cynthia Anna Hernandez,65, was born on April 5th 1956 in Bakersfield, California and passed away peacefully on September 4th, 2021. She attended Bardin Elementary School, El Sausal Middle School, and graduated Alisal High School in 1974. 

She was a Breast Cancer Survivor, and treated each day as a gift. She was an avid Giant's fan and was famous for her salsa. She made many friends bartending at The American Legion Post 593 in Prunedale, then at Mike's Place, in Castroville, 'til 2019. After the "Shut down", she started slinging drinks at the American Legion Post 31, in Salinas, as well as the Elks club.

Cynthia is survived by her Mother, Carmen Hernandez, her brother, Edward Hernandez Jr., her sister, Stella Cerecedo, her son, John Hernandez, her daughter, Louise Clausen (Troy), and granddaughter, Marley Morlet. She joins her Father, Edward Hernandez, in our Father's heavenly kingdom. 

A viewing will take place at Madonna Del Sasso Church on Monday, Sept. 20th from 5-7pm with a Rosary taking place at 6pm.  On Tuesday, Sept. 21st a Funeral Mass will be at 10am also at Madonna Del Sasso Church in Salinas followed by burial at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
