Obituary of Katrina Helena Farias Romo

AGE 36, passed peacefully with her family by her side on November 8, 2021.

Katrina was born on February 12, 1985, in Sant Cruz Ca. Katrina was raised in Prunedale and graduated from North Monterey County High school in 2003. She was a devoted stay at home mom. Katrina is survived by her Grandmother Helen Arroyo of Prunedale, her parents Gabriel and Rosario Farias of Salinas, her twin sister Therese (Reese) Hernandez of Prunedale, her three children Shery, Robert and Shaun of the family home. Her nieces Samantha, Marissa and nephew X. Her aunts Esmeralda and Humberto Garcia of King City, Josie Gutierrez of Salinas, Trini Arroyo of Prunedale, Sylvia Arroyo of Salinas, Elisa Arroyo of Salinas, Elena and Baudelio Vasquez of Bakersfield, Angela Arroyo of Salinas, also paternal grandmother Margarita Farias from Watsonville, Fidel and Valerie Farias of Watsonville, Ray and Socorro Morales of Prunedale, Orlando and Vivian Farias of Hollister, Fred and Sonia Farias of Watsonville and many many close cousins, nieces and nephews.

Besides spending time with her family, Katrina loved the ocean and taking long walks to enjoy sun rise and sun sets and everything about it. She loved to cook delicious meals and bake cookies with her children. She was very creative doing projects, painting, pottery. Pretty much everything she did was badass. In elementary school, her grandpa Fidel taught her how to play poker which she always enjoyed to play with unsuspecting victims. Now she’s in heaven playing poker again with him, laughing it up. Katrina is a savage, and if you knew her, you know. We know she’s in paradise watching over us all. Rest easy Kat….Until we meet again….

Family and friends are invited to her services on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at the Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas for the viewing from 1:00-4:00 with the rosary commencing at 4:00.

Celebration of the Funeral Mass will be held, Friday, November 19, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary of the Nativity Catholic Church at 424 Towt Street in Salinas.

Burial will follow at the Queen of Heaven cemetery in Prunedale.
