Obituary of Martha G. Vega

Martha G. Vega, 83, of Salinas, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 13, 2022. Martha was born in El Organo San Ciro de Acosta, San Luis Potosi, February 23, 1938 to the late Lucinda y Santos Garcia. Martha was an avid gardener and loved planting and sharing her many years of knowledge with her loved ones. She loved spending time with her family and friends, cooking, sewing and sharing stories of her life. Her love for her children and grandchildren was boundless.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Ernesto Vega and her siblings, Ancelma Garcia Arvizu, Luis Garcia, Abel Garcia. Hermilo Garcia, and Cristobal Garcia.

She is survived by her loving children, Ignacia Lopez of El Centro CA., Baltazar Garcia of Salinas CA., Flor Rico of Visalia CA., Alma Delia Jaccard of Visalia CA., and Ramona Vega of Chino Hills CA. Treasured grandchildren Kimberly Robinson, Edgar Rico, Monroe Jaccard and Maximiliano Garcia. Survived by brothers Ismael Garcia of El Organo San Ciro de Acosta, San Luis Potosi, Lucas Garcia of Porterville CA., Eugenio Garcia of South San Francisco CA., and Candido Garcia of Ontario CA.

Martha was a woman of faith which gives her family comfort to know she is in heaven resting in peace. She will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her and being part of her life.

Funeral services will be held Sunday. January 23, 2022 from 1 P.M. to 5 P.M. for viewing at Healey Mortuary funeral home, 405 N Sanborn Rd, Salinas, CA 93905 and on Monday, January 24, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. in Cristo Rey Church. Burial will follow in Queen of Heaven.
