Obituary of Gabriel M. Agtarap

Gabriel Macabontoc Agtarap was born in Manila, Philippines on March 24, 1943. He arrived in American in his 20’s where he became a US citizen along with his four children and beautiful wife Adela Alberto Agtarap who is 82 years old.

He is survived by his only son Edgar Agtarap and 3 daughters Amy Agtarap, Leticia Cabutage, and Rosemarie Tapnio.

He retired from JM Smuckers Co where he was a foreman and a manager. Gabriel resided in Salinas, California where he had lived over 40 years then moved to Lemoore CA for the remainder of his last years.

Gabriel loved his family and it had grown with 9 grandchildren, NinaRose Maldonado, Desiree Halmes, Mia Tapnio, Andy Agtarap, Tyler Cabutage, Iza Agtarap, Tre Cabutage, Edgar Agtarap Jr., Kaeli Tapnio, and Isabella Tapnio. 3 great grandchildren Veronia Tayamen, Syres Agtarap, Zacariah and Zaniyah Maldonado and 1 great great grandchild Jevyn Tayamen.

He had always said, “time is precious and to enjoy every moment.” He lived a full life and was loved by all who knew him. He was known to fix anything and took care of everyone. He was a father to all and loved to fish and spend quality time outdoors with his family. He taught us life skills, dedication to family, and the value of education. Without his sacrifices he made, we wouldn’t be here in America.

We will miss him very much but comforted that he is pain free, reuniting with his parents and siblings in heaven. Rest in eternity peace ❤️.
