Obituary of Bernardino Garcia Manalang Jr.

Joon, a devoted husband and father, brother, uncle, and  beloved friend, you have blessed our lives far beyond compare. The abundant graces that God Almighty outpoured upon you were never wasted, as you willingly opened your hearts to God and allowed Him to work wonders in your life that touched everyone you encounter with joy, humility, patience, faith, hope, love and lots of laughters! "Perseverance in Prayers and Obedience to God's Holy Will" was your constant companion and strengthened you and our family through long-suffering as we unite our sufferings to the sufferings of Christ on the Cross. As our Lord Jesus revealed to St. Faustina: "I want your last moments to be completely similar to Mine on the Cross. There is but one price at which souls are bought, and that is suffering united to My suffering on the cross. Pure love understands these words; carnal love will never understand them." (Diary, 324)

 

Joon, my Love, my Mahal, thank you for bringing Jesus unto our hearts. You constantly declared: "Always have a complete faith and trust in God!" I believe in Jesus' promises, and so I believe that you are Home with our Lord and our Blessed Mother. Will see you someday in Heaven, as soon as God's Purpose in our life is accomplished as it did to yours!

Visitation will be held Friday, November 11, 2022 from 1 - 6 pm at the Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Rd., Salinas, CA

Rosary will be said at the Mortuary Chapel, Friday at 3:00 PM

Celebration of the Funeral Mass will be held, Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Madonna Del Sasso Church, 320 E. Laurel Dr., Salinas, CA

Burial will follow at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 18200 Damian Way, Salinas, CA
