Tina Barnachea

Obituary of Tina V. Barnachea

Tina V. Barnachea, 91, passed away peacefully at her family's home Monday, November 7, 2022.  Tina was born February 17, 1931 in the Philippines and has lived in the Salinas Valley for the past 69 years.

Not one to sit still, Tina worked in the fields, packing sheds and was employed by Nestles for over 30 years as a production lineperson, getting those delicious candies out the door.  If that wasn't enough for her, she had a thriving side business in the flea market, selling in places like King City, San Ardo and San Jose. Tina was a member of St. Phillip’s Presbyterian Church and the Filipino Community. She loved her senior bingo days.  Her favorite past times included line dancing and Hawaiian dancing. She touched the lives of many people with her big heart, always giving. There was always food at her house and if you came to visit, you had to eat.

Tina is preceded in death by her Husband, Juan Barnachea, along with several Sisters and Brothers.

She is survived by her Daughter, Cristina (Will) Whitacre, her Sons, Antonio "Tony" Barnachea and Andrew Barnachea.  She leave a Sister, Florencia Vanderlipe, along with numerous Nieces and Nephews and other loving family.
