Obituary of Denisa Manzo Palmeno

Denisa Manzo Palmeno, 44, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2022. She was recently and unexpectedly diagnosed with an advanced stage of cancer. However, despite the diagnosis, she courageously battled it, never losing her faith, sprit, and love.

 

Denisa was born in Salinas, CA on December 4, 1977, and resided in Salinas up to her passing.

 

She attended Los Padres Elementary, El Sausal Middle School, and graduated from Salinas High School, class of 1996.
She completed several course loads in the fields of nursing and general education at Hartnell College and at California State University of Monterey Bay.

 

Denisa has been working for Salinas City Elementary School District for more than fifteen years, and within the educational school system, has fulfilled many roles and positions as an educator. Her most recent position was a Para educator at Lincoln elementary school.

 

For those who knew her, remember her as: a kind, loving, and caring person, with a strong mind and character, who truly loved her children and family.

 

Denisa was a beloved wife to Edmundo C. Martinez. She was a devoted mother to her four kids, Ethan Martinez 15, Damaris Martinez 11, Paul Martinez 7, and Evan Martinez 6. She was a cherished daughter to Octavio and Guillermina Palmeno, and a beloved sister to Zenia Palmeno-Serrano, Griselda Palmeno- Montoya, Cynthia Palmeno-Salgado, and Evelyn Palmeno.

 

Viewing will be held on Sunday December 4th, 2022, from 1pm-5pm with a Rosary at 3:00 PM, at Healey Mortuary 405 Sanborn Rd. Salinas CA, 93905. A Funeral Mass will take place at 10am Monday December 5, 2022, at Saint Mary of Nativity Church, 424 Towt St., Salinas CA 93905, burial to follow services at the Garden of Memories Cemetery, 850 Abbott St. Salinas CA, 93901
