Obituary of Genevieve O. Granillo

Genevieve O. Granillo, 94, passed away peacefully at her home in Salinas, Tuesday, January 10, 2023.  Born in Saticoy, CA March 4, 1928, Genevieve lived in the Salinas Valley for the past 82 years.  She worked for many years as a field supervisor in the valleys produce industry.

Genevieve was 1 of 9 children and lived a long and happy life on her ranch, serving up numerous BBQ's with plenty of food for all.
Genevieve is survived by her daughters, Margaret (Bob) Lopes, Gloria Lopez, Frances Martin, Lupe (Mike) Armenta, and Lydia (Galen) Aokie.  She leaves her siblings, Virgina Fragoso, Lupe (Crispin) Acosta, and Richard (Ramona) Garcia, along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Genevieve is preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Granillo, Daughter, Alicia O'Kusky, and a grandson, Chris Wylder.

Visaitation will be held, Thursday, January 26, 2023 at the Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Rd., Salinas from 1 - 5 PM.  A Rosary will begin Thursday at 4:00 PM.

Celebration of the Funeral Mass will be held, Friday, January 27, 2023 at Madonna Del Sasso Church, 320 E. Laurel Dr., Salinas starting at 1:00 PM.

Burial will follow in the Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 18200 Damian Way, Salinas.
