Obituary of Kathy Caldwell Minor

Kathy Caldwell Minor, 61. Passed away January 10, 2023 at 1 o’clock pm.

Kathy Caldwell was born on July 20, 1961 in Pensacola, Florida to Smitty and Louise Caldwell. Kathy was the 6th child of 7 children. She attended school at Spencer Bibbs Elementary and continued at Washington High School. Kathy learned how to cook the way of old school cooks, and became an excellent cook. She began to work for various restaurants and other food services businesses. On July 13, 1982, she was wedded to Curtis Minor of Foley, Alabama. They new loving couple began a family with their first son, Curtis Jr. Soon after, they moved to Central California and two additional children were birthed and welcomed into their home. Kathy took a position working for the Salinas School District as a Cook. Everyone knew her because of her good food and her good sense of humor. She became well loved by all that met her. She Joined Saint James CME Church, and was a faithful member for approximately 15 years until her transition to heaven.

One brother, Richard Caldwell and one sister Gloria preceded her in death. However she has the following brothers and sisters who will mourn her dearly: Ernest Jerome Caldwell, Stanley Caldwell, Catherine Stephens, and Barbara Smith.

Her nieces and nephews include: Clifton Stephens, April Hobbs, Chris Stephens, Tawanna Thompson, Tashima Pugh, Ladonna Smiley, Aisha Caldwell, Robert Smith, Ebony Smith Evelyn Smith, Roselyn Caldwell, and cousins: Lorene Jackson and Linda Womack.

She is survived by her loving husband Curtis of 40 plus years, her children, Curtis Minor Jr., Donegan, Dominique, and her 9 grandchildren, Amariah, D’naijsha, Josiah, Elijah, Dimitry, Aniyah, Kai, Xaccari, and Twylah.

In addition to her immediate family she will be missed by her church family, friends and co-workers.
