Obituary of Rudy Martinez

Rudy Martinez, 72 ,of Salinas California passed away on May 28, 2023. He was born to parents Petrolino & Refugio Martinez on November 11, 1950 in Monte Vista, Colorado.  Rudy graduated from Antonito High School and received a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Adams State College. Rudy worked for over 35 years in the produce industry. He met Guadalupe, the love of his life on December 7th 1973. He would make the commute from Alamosa, Colorado to Nogales, Mexico almost every week to visit. Rudy & Guadalupe got married in 1977. 
Rudy had many hobbies : Golfing, Pottery, Gardening, Cooking, and Traveling. He took countless photos in which he leaves behind all the beautiful memories. He loved listening to all types of music. Some of his favorite genres include Rock N Roll, Country & Rhythm and Blues. His rude humor, passions & essence will live on through his family and friends. He was a father figure to quite a few friends & family members. 
Rudy was known for his love of Golf and spent thousands of hours on the golf course. He was a beloved golf coach at Madonna Del Sasso school from 1992 -1997. His last round of golf was played in 2021. 

Rudy is survived by his Wife Guadalupe Martinez, Daughter Ozella Martinez & partner Juan Bedolla, Son Sergio Martinez, as well as Grandchildren: Eric Bedolla, Alexa Bedolla, Zion Martinez, Solomon Martinez & Anayeli Mejia Martinez. His siblings: Marbella Perea, Dorotea Khadem & Alice Duran. Rudy was predeceased by his parents , sister Ozella Martinez Dettling and brother Miguel Martinez.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023 from 1pm-5pm at the Healey Mortuary. A celebration of life for Rudy will be held in July in Colorado.
