Obituary of Jose Sandoval

Jose Orozco Sandoval, passed unexpectedly on November 22, 2013. He was born in Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico on July 28, 1954. He became a resident of Salinas, CA since the age of 18. Jose came to this country to work the crops of the valley and retired due to an illness in 1989. His family was his life. He successfully created a family that has accomplished many great things including two loving children that cherished the opportunity to take care of him when he needed them most. Jose enjoyed the outdoors, yard work, his coffee, his dog companion "Jack" and watching sporting events with his kids and grandchildren. Despite many challenges in life health wise he was able to overcome many obstacles. Jose always rolled with the punches day by day until the very end; he was a strong, wise and handsome man. He is survived by his two children, Ricardo Orozco and Mercedes Orozco Somilleda (Nicolas Somilleda, Jr.), grandchildren, Ricardo Orozco, Jr., Alissa Orozco and Nicolas Somilleda III. He was preceded by his father, Jesus Orozco, his mother, Mercedes Sandoval and brother, Francisco Orozco Sandoval. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 1-9pm with a Rosary vigil at 7pm, all at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas, CA 93905. A Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 10am at the Madonna del Sasso Catholic Church 320 E. Laurel Drive Salinas, CA 93906. An Inurnment will follow at a later date at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery 18200 Damian Way Salinas, CA 93907.
