Obituary of Humberto Alvarez

Humberto T. Alvarez, 78. lifelong resident of Monterey county, passed away on Sept. 3, 2014 at his home in Greenfield. He was born on June 12, 1936 in Sonora, Mexico. He worked in TV repair as an electronic technician for over 30 years. Humberto was an avid Oakland Raider's fan. He enjoyed gardening, bbq's and tinkering in the garage. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Humberto is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Virginia Alvarez, daughters, Yolanda Alvarez, Deborah Souza and Diana (Tony) Castro, son, Gregory Alvarez, 15 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, brother, Jesse Alvarez, along with numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family. He is preceded in death by his two sons, Humberto Alvarez, Jr. and Donny Alvarez. A Celebration of Humberto's life will be held at a later date. Cremation to take place.
