Obituary of Frank Simon

Life Legacy Frank X. Simon, 93, lifelong resident of Salinas, passed away on September 11, 2014. He was born on June 10, 1921 in Corona, California. Frank proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII, in which he received various medals and accomplishments. He previously worked at Fort Ord as a Post Engineer for over 35 years. Frank was a previous Post Commander of the American Legion #593 of Prunedale, and was also a member of the V.F.W. He enjoyed life and especially spending time with his family. Frank is survived by his daughters, Virginia (Al) Sanchez of Penn Valley and Sheila (Patrick) Boelens of Prunedale; son, Robert (Julie) Simon of Prunedale, along with four stepchildren, numerous grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by first wife, Geneva Simon, former wife, Vivien Simon, daughter, Juanita Shiff and his son, Mark Simon. Private Services will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
