Obituary of Eunice Schmidt
Our beloved Eunice Arlene Schmidt joined her heavenly father on October 12, 2009.
Eunice was born July 26, 1924 in Faribault, Minnesota, to her father, Walter Raether and Mother, Apollonie Zinter Raether.
Eunice was a bright star to everyone who knew her. She was always helpful to everyone and people knew her wherever she went. She volunteered at the senior center and the
nursing home in Grangeville and brightened days for a lot of people. She even had an article written about her which ran in the Idaho Free Press, called “Warm Heart in a Cold Place”.
Eunice enjoyed gardening, baking and cooking. She was always busy with a project. In addition to her large family and friends who loved her; she was a valuable member of her church family at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grangeville, Idaho.
She loved to travel, mostly by bus or her favorite method, the Amtrak. She often traveled to see family members and friends both near and far. She went sight-seeing in many parts of the U.S. as well as Europe. Eunice will be missed by everyone who knew her.
