Obituary of Miguel Angel Basurto-Puentes

Miguel Angel “MIKE” Basurto, 51, of Salinas passed away Saturday, May 23, 2015. He was born Sep 6, 1963, in Durango, Mexico but raised in Chihuahua, Mexico. He will be most remembered for his smile, his sense of humor, loving nature. He was a loving father, Friend, Brother, Grandpa, uncle, companion. He his hobbies included Traveling, music, BBQ’s, Rodeo, and cowboy adventures. Miguel is survived by his children Amaro Basurto, Esteban Basurto, Miguel Jr Basurto, Erik Basurto and his two step children Jacqueline Monacivas and Abraham Chipres. As well as his First and only Grandson Daniel Vazquez, Also his current companion of 14 years Maria Monacivas, and previous companion mother of his first 3 children Irma Vazquez And is siblings Sofia Cardenas and Maria Urrutia and his nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2015 1-9pm with a Rosary recital at 7pm, all at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas, CA 93905. Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, May 29, 2015 11:30am at Cristo Rey Catholic Church 240 Calle Cebu Salinas, CA 93901. Burial to follow services at the Garden of Memories Cemetery 850 Abbott St. Salinas, CA 93901.
