Obituary of Isabel Bessinger

Isabel R. Bessinger, 86, of Salinas passed away peacefully with her family at her side on October 18, 2015. She was born on Feb. 12, 1929 in Johnson City, Texas,to Juan S. Rodriguez and Regina Cisneros. Isabel had two sisters Louisa Rojas, Cecilia Amaya, and one brother Gabriel Rodriguez. She was baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ on April 2, 1944 in Sanger, CA by Pastor Jesus Valdez. Isabel was a life time member of the Apostolic Assembly Church. These last years of life at the Apostolic Assembly in Salinas under the pastor ship of Pastor Jesus Varela. On Feb. 12, 1961 she married her husband of 47 years, Herman J. Bessinger. For many years they served the Lord together until the Lord called Herman home on Nov. 9, 2008. Isabel was kind and generous. She was well known and loved by many people. She served her Lord with all her heart and enjoyed the fellowship with all her brothers and sisters in the Lord. Isabel had many special friends and was a loving faithful wife, sister, sister-in-law, Aunt and second mother to many nieces and nephews. She will be missed more than words can say, but we look forward to the day when we meet again with those that have gone before us. Isabel is survived by, sister, Cecilia R. Amaya of Manteca, brother-in-law Burt Bessinger of Salinas, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by, her parents, Juan and Regina Rodriguez husband, Herman J. Bessinger brother and sister-in-law, Gabriel and Carolina Rodriguez sister, Louisa Rojas brother-in-Law, Bruno P. Amaya and niece, Sylvia A. Jones Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 1-9pm at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas, CA 93905. Funeral Services will take place on Thursday, October 22, 2015 10am at the Healey Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Jesus Varela of the Apostolic Assembly Church officiating. Burial to follow services at the Garden of Memories Cemetery 850 Abbott St. Salinas, CA 93901.
