Life Legacy
Robert Aranda Lares, 85, passed away in a very peaceful manner on November 3, 2015 in Salinas. He was born on January 28, 1930, in Castroville, CA. He resided in there for 42 years, before relocating to Salinas in 1972.
Robert proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and received an Honorable Discharge in 1953. He was employed as a journeyman painter and expert drywall finisher, up until his retirement in 1996.
Robert enjoyed bowling and having barbeques with his family. He was involved in the Cursillo Movement at San Pablo de Colores; where he served as President of the organization. He loved watching sporting events with Sergio M. Diaz of Salinas; an extended family member.
Robert is survived by,
wife of 50 years, Mrs. Bivi C. Lares

Pedro G. (Cindy) Lares, of Ceres
Robert C. Lares of Nevada
and Leonard C. Lares of Salinas
daughter, Christine Paulson of Bakersfield
grandchildren,
Pedro G. Lares, Jr. of Oregon
Cerina (Javier) Felix and Valerie Lares both of Modesto
Jessica, Michael and Griffin Walters all of Bakersfield
great-grandchildren,
Pedro G. Lares III, Angelina Lares,
Xavier and Giovanni Felix of Modesto.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2015 1-9pm with a Rosary vigil at 7pm, all at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas, CA 93905.
Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, November 9, 2015 11am at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church 11140 Preston St. Castroville, CA 95012.
Burial with Military Honors will follow services at the Castroville District Cemetery 8442 Moss Landing Rd. Moss Landing, CA 95039.
