Obituary of Herbert Healey

Herb was the founder of the Healey Mortuary which was established in 1956 as the Salinas Valley Mortuary. The mortuary was soon renamed to the Healey Mortuary and has been proudly serving the Salinas Valley Communities since. Herb's "can do" additude and tireless work ethic enabled the mortuary grow through several remodeling projects over the past fifty years. Herb was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, the Masonic Lodge F&AM #204, and the Order of the Eastern Star. He was a former member of the Elk's Lodge Bpoe #614 in Salinas, and the Moose Lodge #1165. He was a proud member of the NRA. As a pilot, Herb was a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, and the Flying Funeral Director's of America. Herb was also a long standing member of the California Funeral Director Association. Herb served during World War II in the 511th Parachute Regiment. Herb enjoyed flying his plane, had a great love for the outdoors, loved to travel, and especially loved playing poker with many of his long time friend and associates. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered. SURVIVORS Wife of 56 Years Joyce B.
