Obituary of Annie Ancheta
Annie passed away peacefully with family by her side. Annie was a loving, caring, giving mother and grandmother.
She was crowned “Miss Philippines” in 1933, at the tender age of 16.
She served as President for the Filipino Women’s Club of Salinas during 1954-1956. Annie was also Secretary for the 1st and 2nd Filipino Combat Infantry Regiment.
As a little girl living in Boronda; she walked to Graves School in every kind of weather everyday.
Later, she attended and graduated from Salinas High School and enjoyed taking fun classes at Hartnell College.
Annie lived the simple life. She loved eating her sweet pastries, chicken BBQ’s, watching sports, listening to Hawaiian music and gardening in her yard. In her early years, she enjoyed dancing.
