Obituary of Andres Betancourt

Life Legacy Andres Betancourt was born in Barrio Santa Catalina, Coamo Puerto Rico. He was the first born of Dona Angela Ortiz Rivera and Don Jose Antonio Betancourt and had four brothers and four sisters. In 1942, he was drafted into the Army and served in Germany during WWII, and then went to Korea twice. He retired in 1970. He was married to Aida Cartagena and Andrea Alayon, whom both have since passed. Andres had three children with Aida Cartagena. Sons, Jose Enrique Betancourt and Andres Betancourt Jr., Daughter, Aida Ivette Moody. He is survived by seven Grandchildren and seven Great Grandchildren . Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018 from 1-9pm at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd Salinas, CA 93905. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018 11am at the Healey Mortuary Chapel. Burial with Military Honors will follow at the Mission Memorial Park in Seaside, California.
