Malcolm Lowe

Obituary of Malcolm Lowe

Dr. Malcolm D. Lowe, 56, passed away due to complications of pneumonia on July 31, 2010. He is survived by his mother, two brothers, wife and daughter. Dr. Lowe, a University of the Pacific graduate, has practiced in Salinas since 1980. He took over his father, Lyman A. Lowe's practice established in 1949. He enjoyed having a family-oriented general practice, which enabled his knowing multiple generations of patients from some families. To some of his patients, Dr. Lowe was more than a dentist; he was also a good and caring friend. Despite often debilitating treatments during his courageous six year battle with cancer, he never gave up living an active life. Even with his declining physical conditions, with the support and love of his friends and family, Malcolm continued to practice dentistry and enjoy his hobbies; fishing, boating, hunting, archery, bonsai, woodworking, leather craft, chess and falconry, and playing the piano. He loved training his dogs, hunting with them and entering them in field trials. The Lowe family is deeply grateful to all of you - relatives, friends, patients, and medical personnel, for your loving, kind and generous support. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, August 16, 2010 5-7PM at Lincoln Avenue Presbyterian Church 536 Lincoln Avenue in Salinas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to one's favorite
