Obituary of Violet Giese

Violet Giese, 90, a retired waitress, passed away of natural causes on October 16, 2010 at Pacific Coast Care in Salinas. She was born December 17, 1919, in Henreitta, Oklahoma, and lived in Salinas for 65 years. Mrs. Giese was a long-time resident of Salinas working at various restaurants throughout Salinas. She was most remembered for her smile and friendliness to the patrons of the Elk's Lodge, The Pub, Corral de Tierra Country Club, and Italian Villa. She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Mattison of Castroville; Carolyn Brewer of Salem, Missouri; and Sharon Lusk of Bakersfield, California; one sister, Billie Mundell of Tulare, California; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters. A private family memorial will be held
