Obituary of Bruce Babcock

Bruce had retired as a Property Tax Appraiser of Monterey County and had served that position for over 25 years. He was a resident of the Salinas Valley for 70 Years. He Served in the U.S. Navy during World War II aboad the Aircraft Carrier "Wasp". Bruce Graduated from Salinas High School in 1946. He was a long time member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Salinas. Member of the Salinas Elks Lodge #614 BPOE in Salinas, and a member of S.I.R.S. and the American Legion, Post #31 of Salinas. Bruce was honored several times for his continual blood donations to the American Red Cross. His hobby was cutting and delivering firewood for many years. He enjoyed golfing and staying active. He is survive by Wife Norma Babcock of the family home Daughters Sherry Forsgren of Columbia, South Carolina Cheryl Brooks of Bradley Terry Schneider of Redding Sons Bill Babcock of Virginia City, Montana Rickey Babcock of Alder Point Steven Thomas of British Comubia Grand Children Grant Cole, Jennifer Bidaurreta, Allyson Cole, Billy Babcock, Tad Babcock, Don Babcock, Kelly Fischer, Rosalyn Schneider, and Eric Schneider Nine Great-grandchildren
