Obituary of Nettie vanciel

Nettie van Ciel, 91, of Salinas, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2008, at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital. Born November 13, 1916, in Delaplaine, Arkansas, she moved to California in 1940 and to Salinas upon her retirement in 1985. She spent several years prior to that in the San Francisco and St Helena area. She had also lived in New Idria and Hollister for the past five years. She had resided at The Ridge Care Home in Salinas. Nettie enjoyed singing and playing the guitar and piano. as well as teaching her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren to play. She also enjoyed gardening, and was an excellent seamstress and cook. She also spent many years in the management and food service businesses.
