Obituary of Rene Gomez

Rene Gomez, 27, of Salinas died peacefully in his sleep Tuesday, May 13, 2008. He was born April 23, 1981. After high school he met his wife, Patty, who he later married and shared a daughter with. He and his wife shared 7 beautiful years together. They often traveled to music concerts, comedy nights and theme parks. Some of his favorite traveling places were Disneyland, Universal Studios, and the biggest yet was Las Vegas. That is where he "tied the knot" with his wife on June 28, 2005. They were truly inseparable and spent many days enjoying the "family life". Rene was a great father who loved his daughter, Danielle, dearly. He and Danielle had weekly "Daddy and Daughter" days often going to the movies, park and long bike rides. His love for his wife and daughter was so obvious that they truly have and "Endless Love". Last year he adopted his dog, Choochi, and raised him as if it was his son. He loved his family and friends very much and had a spirit about him that would light up a room. His love for people was so big that he wanted his organs donated if something should have happened. He had a way with children whether they were relatives or not. For the past 7 years, he helped raise and love his nieces, Andrea Nicole and Kaly Nikoli. He also loved his newborn nephew, Adrian, who he visited often. His love for others truly made him the Wonderful Man that he was and is. Rene loved to go camping and fishing, and took his wife and daughter often. He was also an avid 49'ers fan. Some of Rene's favorite interests were getting tattoos, reading books, watching movies (Scarface was his favorite movie), and computer graphics. He often made beautiful pictures, cards, and poems to express his love for his wife. Rene's tissue organs were donated, per his request.
