Obituary of Gilbert Kahuena

Gilbert K. Kahuena, 82, of Gonzales, passed away November 1, 2010 at his residence. Born August 31, 1928 in Oahua, Laie, Hawaii. Gilbert was a Bay Area Sports fanatic, who enjoyed San Francisco Giants and the 49'rs. He is survived by Daughters Sheila Herrera of Soledad Caroline (Frank) Mendez of Salinas Violet (Mitchell) Gomes of Gonzales Carol Kahuena (James Ruiz) of Salinas Brother Albert Kahuena of Minnesota 20 Grandchildren 27 andGreat-Grandchildren Preceded in death by his Wife, Victoria Kahuena Sons Phillip Orozco and Louie Piedra Visitation will be held Thursday, Nov. 4 1-9pm with Evening Prayer Service at 7pm at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd.. Funeral Services with full Military Honors on Friday, Nov. 5 10am also at Healey Mortuary. Cremation to follow Services.
